How come it is okay to believe in Santa Clause

and his sleigh and the north pole with no cause

and the elves that make the toys

for all of the girls and boys

and Rudolph and the reindeer

spreading across the world cheer

and talking snowmen like Frosty

making people feel warm and fuzzy

how come it is okay to believe in the Easter Bunny

or to believe in the tooth fairy

how come we teach children to believe in them

and it is accepted in our culture like a friend

but then when people believe in God above

and of his unconditional love

then people say that it is wrong

and from the schools God is gone

kids are taught to have faith but not in God or Jesus

if you ask me it seems we are doing things backwards

how would you feel if you died for the world

and no one believed in you or your word?

what are we teaching our children today

we are teaching them to believe in God is not okay
