I saw you lying in the hospital bed so weak

I didn't know what to do, I couldn't speak

I pray for God to be with you on my knees at night

I pray that in the darkness you will see some light

I pray that you will dance with angels away from your pain

I pray that God will be your umbrella through the pouring rain

I pray that peace will soothe your heart like a lullaby

I pray that God will be your kleenex whenever you cry

I pray for God to comfort you and hold you in his hands

cause he will guide you, he is the one who understands

I pray that in your pain God will lay your head to rest

as long as God is with you by your side you are blessed
