some dead,
some alive,
I think I've read
somewhere
that you may contrive
That,
as being
a partial glass of water
though it might have been
not quite right
in that,
half the glass is empty,
or half the glass is full,
for it is not one or the other,
both factors make it whole.
Author's Notes/Comments:
this poem was inspired by a tree that was about half dead and half alive, and it made me think about how people usually look at one or the other side of a situation, but you can't make a whole situation out of one perspective, so thought I would write about the two sides of something and how both sides are correct and need each other to make a whole something.
