The truth is a dream
real love is a lie
Justice is failing
And good people die
Her smile is wicked
Her eyes full of pain
Her voice lulls the wrestless
I love her again
The world spins in circles
the stars stay the same
"I love you, my Lover"
she said as she came
And she went just as fast
As the truest loves do
I'm lost disillusioned
well what about you?
So here I will sit
In my own private mind
I can't find a lover
Who's close to my kind
I'll rock here alone
As my life fades away
and remember the Love
I had, that day.
ahh...disillusionment...i can definitely relate. i thought this was a fantastic poem, thanks for recommending it to me!!
Have you ever read The Picture of Dorian Gray? Well I feel like your Lord Henry, and I, being Dorian, am influenced in the most malignant way. I love the first several lines the best. But you can't possibly believe "real love is a lie?" I'm not disputing that, as I'm a pathological cynic, it's just that I've built this image of you in my mind and that line does not fit with that perception. Anyway, I liked this, too, though once again I feel like I definitely missed the personal meaning.
WOW! Such powerful words. I like your style of writing. GREAT POEM.
I like this one....how very poignant it is. This poem touched me right where it hurts. Very nice....
...spinning, falling, down we go...where we stop, will the wind blow...Justice is indeed failing... and one day as life fades away, maybe, some of us will be so luck to remember the love, that day...maybe... nice one!
