I remember that during my 6 years of Elementary school, I always went and stayed in my grandmother´s place in order to eat, and spend the rest of my day. I was always looking at the clock during class, waiting for time to pass, and when class time finally ended, I waited for my mom to finally pass by. Me, as a young boy, eating was the only thing I could think by that hour, so as soon as I arrived to my grandmother´s home I ran and knocked the door. There was this noise every time I came, the noise could be hear even from outside her house, it was her sewing machines. She works Monday to Saturday, making and selling dresses, so every time I stayed there, the only thing I could hear was the noise of her sewing machine the whole day, but it didn’t bother me, I was already used to it. Even with all this work to do, she always managed to have time not only for me, but my sister and cousins, I remember one time we told her we were hungry, she stood up and baked us some muffins. She is a very hard working person, her whole day is to stay beside her old looking and gray sewing machines, fixing someone’s school uniform or making a dress, but even if the job was difficult, she didn’t looked obsessed. Off the 3 sewing machines she has, there is this weird looking one, which always called our attention more. It was not gray, but just like a copper color, smaller, and in a different place in the room, away from the other two. My cousins and I always played near that weird looking machine, but always, with my grandmother looking at us to watch for any danger near. She taught us one day how to sew with her sewing machines, and although the result was awful, we didn´t care, we were on our fourteens. As the day came to an end, we were now just waiting for my mom to picked us up and take us back home, but there was no day which bored me there. My mom arrived each day about 6 o´clock, we picked up our stuff and got ready to go. It was just like a routine, I always looked back to say goodbye, and my grandmother was on her sewing machine
