I gaze out over the placid sea
That shines with a silver light
And as far as I can see
Are brilliant stars that fill the night

The harbor light pulses across the bay
As a shooting star crosses the sky
I cast my wish out to the Milky Way
Wishing you were here by my side

Many are are the hours I have spent
Under those stars that reflect on the sea
Reliving the many countless torments
That still keep you so far from me

Now storm clouds roll across the sky
As waves crash upon the rocky shore
And the tempest winds moan and sigh
In reflection of the heartache I endure

But I shall wait with a silent tear
Until once more you stand before me
And take me in your arms and hold me dear
With the love that has set my soul free
