December 7, 1941
Naval and air forces
Of the empire of Japan
Attacked our unguarded
And unsuspecting
Pearl Harbor.
Not alone were we
That night
Hong Kong,
Guam and Malaya,
Philippine, Wake, and Midway Islands
Also attacked.
So much for peace
As negotiations were being attempted.
Deceit, lies, and betrayal.
To be an onlooker
Helpless and alone
Watching our planes burn up
On our homeland.
The day the Japanese
Messed with the wrong country
“A day which will live in infamy”
Quote FDR
The day the United States
Made their fashinably late entrance
Into WWII.
