My baby is always here,

My baby is always there.

My baby tries to right the wrongs,

But sometimes my baby does dangerous things.

All I ask him is to come back to me alive and in one piece.

I tell him that I love him and I care for him.

And when I see him after he comes back,

I run up to him,

Wrap my arms around him,

Pull him in tight,

And kiss him hard.

But in the back of my mind I’m thinking,

Is this the last time I see my baby?

Is this the last time I hold him close?

Is this the last time I hug him tight?

Is this the last time I kiss him hard?

I hope in my heart that this isn’t the last time,

The last time I see his wonderful face,

The last time I hold him close,

The last time I hug him tight,

The last time I kiss him hard.

I say to him,

I love you.
