Reincarnation or Regeneration?

i look with joy on this day you've come

to carry away my limp body.

For me, it is a day of rest -

the beginning of new existence -

but i am sad for you, my dear friend,

for this is a day of no rest.

Still, do not fear, my dear,

for the face you see's no longer mine,

but you shall see it very soon -

i've reversed the polarity of my life.

No amount of worry can come over me -

i need my rest, dear, and time.

Of all the wonders the universe holds,

this is one i can't foresee.

A few minutes now to hospital, dear;

what the future brings, we'll soon find out.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I can't believe I didn't add this sooner!  It started out as a different poem that I have shared elsewhere but forgot the title of, so it is here now "Death Poem".  At the time, I was writing a lot of slightly to very morbid poetry.  I turned one into a Doctor Who poem.
