dont let them see whats inside

push it down

farther, so much farther down

dont let them see it, cant let them see it

they'll never know if you keep these tears encased in darkness

keep those cries muffled in pillows

keep those screams oh so silent

shut the door so they wont wake

open your eyes

tell them you'll be ok

dont mention the hurt

dont mention the monster inside

it smiles and decieves, dont let them see

just get through tonight

its eating you alive, i know, i know

grin and bear it

keep the scars from reaching the surface

dont you want to see him smile?

you're hurting him, dont be so selfish

dont let him see the tears

love him like he loves you, be good for him

you'll get through this,

its not all that bad

(keep telling yourself that)

these thoughts spill from the mouths of your demons

(and you thought you'd made a friend)

you know they just want to break you some more

even when you're laying there not breathing

they just laugh, they keep pulling you down

they'll never be satisfied

they'll always keep pulling, pulling, dont you see?
