As the music starts, I’m wondering and suffering

From the words that other people say, I just try to walk behind their ways

But then I find comfort in the words of the song

And we dance on, as if nothing was weighting on our minds



I’ll sing softly in your ear

To make the words I say so clear

Dancing in a world where all we see

In the moment it’s not what we want, but what we really need

And time on the wall goes by so fast

I can’t imagine how this will ever last

In the moment are the promises that we hope to meet

Up high, look down we’re in the middle of the storm

But even for tonight, we’ll be ourselves



When it’s all over, I’m thinking and wandering through

The words of the song that fill my mind, slowly they decline

But then I find comfort in your arms
