I lay there still barely breathing
My chest was pounding as my heart struggled to speak
A tear escaped one eye as life escaped me
I never knew it could feel like this
My vision was not totally gone
because I could still see the shadow moving away from me
After successfully injecting me with poison
Such a gentle creature with a powerful weapon.
I took for granted I handled with care.
Should I try to scream for help?
No, I am sure I don't have that much air.
I gonna close my eyes and with my last minutes reminice
On how it is so hard to get up for work
After the love of my life takes my breath with her kiss
I read this for the second time and although I captured the beauty of poison the first time it was my second read of it that I truly saw love in it's purest.
I hope someone loves me this way one day. The love you have is admirable!

Peace & Poeticness
Wow, i was shocked while i read your poem here. I mean, i didn't think amateur poets could create such imagery as you have done. I felt, if only for a moment, that i was that person.. I read it again and thought i was the poison. Thank you for this wonderful poem. Keep it up, alright? You sound lovely.
