Hey there God, do you remember me?
I'm that boy who was too blind to see.
The same one who hated you.
Through this time, and over these years
I have found you waiting here.
Now see my tears...
I am unworthy
too dirty to be honored by you.
But you clean me.
Lord I don't know why I'm loved by you...
I am unworthy...
Over these jumps, and through these loops
on this roller coaster we call life
you are here.
No matter what we do, or how we act
you hold out your hand, and bring us back
to be with you here...
We are unworthy.
We don't deserve the love you give,
but you're unearthly,
remembering to give us grace, so we can live.
I am so dirty,
but everyday you wash my feet
making me clean so we can meet.
And I wonder if you
will remember me at those gates that we call heaven.
On the day that I know will come,
all will bow before you.
I know that I will see this happening,
and I'll know that I'm loved by you.
So on that day, I hope that you say
"Get up, and walk with me my friend.
For here is no more suffering
because I saved you in the end."
I am unworthy
to be seen with you oh Lord.
You made me worthy,
when you hung for me on those cross shaped boards...
I am unworthy
to even sleep outside the gates of heaven,
but you made me worthy,
when you died for me on that tree back then...
I am unworthy...
