You see me here, a sinful man on my knees

praying from my heart so sincere, father please...

Please forgive me of my sins.

I did my best to not give in.

I guess I didn't let enough of you in me.

I'm stepping out, a thankful man upon the sea

running as fast as I can to get to thee.

Then I start to fall in.

Faith slipping from me as I sin.

Oh Father please forgive me...

I took the step out on the ocean.

I ran away, fearful that You know what I did.

I tried so hard to get away, but you drew me back in.

You welcomed me home,

the prodigal son who was long gone.

Thank You for loving me again.
