You've gone away,
and now you're not here with us anymore.
That's okay.
We all know you're somewhere with the Lord.
While we're all sitting down here trying to figure it out.
You're up there looking down at us now.
And here we are
Trying hard to get through the day
Each of us wishing that there was a way
to bring you back,
but you've gone away.
We're still here
wondering how we'll make it through this time.
We shed our tears
because you brought to us a brighter life.
While we're falling down here trying to figure it out,
you're reaching down from heaven, and you're holding us up now!
And here we are
Crying so hard as we miss you today.
Every one of us wishing there was a way
to bring you back...
but you've gone away from this evil world
from all the pain and the hurt that we see.
You're making your way up those golden streets
making a way for all of us including me.
And here we are
living our lives as we dearly miss you so.
