It's hard to keep in mind what you've done to me
I'm trying to push away that distant, horrid memory
How can I tell myself I love you with all of my heart
When you've done nothing but cast me into the dark?
Blood runs thicker than water, or so I've heard others say
But do you understand what you've done to me, all the pain?
You brought me into this world, sometimes I wish you didn't
If I ever knew how this world spun, I wouldn't even exsist.
I'm turning into you, I'm bringing out the hunger inside of me
I'm pouring my soul onto this paper, I'm letting go of my dreams.
You've given me all I could ever ask for, the perfect isolation
You're all I could ever love, hate. You're my stalled inspiration.
Ahh... I do believe I remember this one. I especially love the expression, "Blood runs thicker than water". It shows a lot about the nature of the poem and where it's going. I love the feel and the rhythm, of course. It's the stanzes too that also captivate me. Once again you have that sonnet feel... but also that grunge too. It's the perfect remix of genres.
