Lately (beginning around Nov. 4th) I've been hearing more & more of 'mainstream Americans' saying Blacks need to just "let go of the past", forget about (our) history, and "move on". It amazes me to hear this. First of all, how many other races of people are told to forget about their history?! I haven't heard anyone say Jews, Native Americans, or Asians should "just forget" about their pasts. Not only that, but how can we be expected to forget, when in 2009 Blacks are still discriminated against? Some cases our so obvious (check out the article below).



If they haven't "moved on" or forward (and it's obvious they haven't by some of the HATEFUL comments I read on the internet EVERYDAY about our new President & the 'change' that he's promised). How are we supposed to?
