sunlight glimmers through
halls of glass seated in view
of a widely effected mirror
a vision reflected clearer
upon stainless silver panes
requiring neither explanation nor change
given the circumstance of now
best not question the when or the how
inquired vaguely then incessantly
in days gone past then presently
it matters little, it matters all
the lift, the tide, the resonant fall
a blanket of light, pillow of grace
up my sleeve a spade of ace
trumping every and each mistake
you take my give, i give your take
pleasantries and whispering
called fire and ice, blistering
bright then dim, i begin again
ending an old, acquitted sin
