i admire the way she dances through
the bayous where the crocuses lay,
the song she sighs and breathes anew
as she swirls alive and swings away.
along badlands dry and jungles deep,
she’s never stilled the way she dances
throughout my heart and whilst i sleep,
with all her coy and strange advances.
so calmly, like rain caught in the wind
