My perception of reality
has been shattered many times
my expectations have often been subverted
by what actually is and my inability to deliver
As a result it is hard to find stability and clarity
when what gives you meaning, gives you nothing
when you are left with nothing
it is hard to have the same luster as before
Because naturally you are
broken from your experiences
