Tales of unimaginable horrors,
archaic chants, beyond the scope
of civilization, deep in the jungle
rituals take place,
Trees hanging low over the river,
creatures hiding in the darkness,
the river still, they glorify his will
Picking off the passersby, raiding their steamboats,
gathering for their father, the precious ivory,
capturing the fools, he demands his sacrifices,
A fortress deep within the nests of the jungle,
far off the treacherous path, to a new beginning,
bones litter the outskirts, bodies impaled on stakes,
rotting flesh, fly's swarming, birds finishing off the leftovers,
into the heart of darkness, the prisoners are brought, at hell's gate
they have found themselves at the mercy of him.
Inside the abyss, inside his heart, arrived at the judgment,
out he comes from his grave, the one who we shall not speak his name,
His eyes, there was there was no expression in them, cold, calculating,
the nihilist, god,
and so he spoke
"untie the prisoners"
There was nowhere for us to run,
we were surrounded by the savages,
their naked bodies painted in blood,
but it was God who would decide our fate
He spoke again,
this time to me
"Do you know why you are here? Boy.
I looked deep again into his hollow eyes,
I could not fathom what he was thinking,
all I saw was bleak madness
I replied
"I do not know."
But he did not speak again to me,
instead, he retreated back into his cave
and then it started,
Using their clubs,
it was a free for all,
they bashed their heads in,
and blood was shed like rain,
But I did not die that day,
I ran as fast I could through the jungle,
running into all types of thorns and weeds
in pursuit, they followed,
but I managed to make it all the way back to the river,
more dangers ahead, but I took the opportunity,
and jumped in. Into the unknown, I floated, away from
the horrors I had seen.
