This place an abode for others than me

the sharing of which we don't always agree

bounce, pounce, tumble & roll

the all-night rumpus is taking its toll

thu-thu-thump tiny hind feet -

   danger danger don't come near,

   slumbering giant might wake in here 

squeaks mama sweet - have no fears my dears,

   friendly is this marm, vows she's taken

   to do no harm

commence around the room the chase

peeked from the sheets, my toes ruled homebase

I give up on sleep well before dawn

morning prayers punctuated by yawns

as the wee kin settle in I plan a payback

around about noon I'll blast

   my favorite soundtrack
