An old man crept up next to me
He told me, who he used to be
He told me that he used to give
Life to those that want to live
But when I turned to see his face
He had vanished without a trace
I looked around to find a sign
But saw nothing, like I was blind
I closed my eyes and then fell back
And I envisioned a railroad track
It was there, when I saw the man
Waiting with an out-stretched hand
I slowly walked over to where he stood
And then he said, "Don't that feel good?"
The sun was setting and the night was near
It lightly rained, like falling tears
It seemed like we were walking forever
And then we came to a great endeavor
The tracks, now, had led off a cliff
I heard some trees in the windy drift
I looked at the man, but he was gone
I thought, "How am I suppose to go on?"
It was dark now and the wind was harsh
I peered over the cliff to see a smoldering marsh
And to the left I saw some stairs
A foul smell rang through the air...
