The battle is finished
My spirit is diminished
We thought we had won
We thought it was done
But little did we know
The war would soon grow
It spread across the nation
Causing much complication
A quick infiltration
To overthrow a dictation
We saw death and blood
In a red river flood
There was pain and despair
But at the time no one cared
Anwersing to George W. Bush
A man who can only push
We searched for weapons of mass destruction
But found less than nothing
Stuck in this desert abyss
Our families we miss
Searching our broken tortured souls
For the will to accomplish a goal
Though the war will go on
I just wish we were gone
Leaving without a trace
And forgetting this place
Going back home
Where my happiness has grown
And returning to you
So you won't feel so blue
Dedicated to my brother may he return home safely
