We Carry On

On this cold and painful night

We see the darkness spread upon this world,

As this passage dives onto us

An engulfing plague descends into our dreams,

So far away, we wait for the time

As the light of hope shines through,

Over these words of broken steel

We carry on,

Through the flames and smoke riddled skies

We charge to meet with fate,

Dodging death's eternal rain

As we carry the fire for our fallen soldiers,

To endure this pain and terror

We are free,

Free to fly and to live

As we rejoice under the moonlight,

We feel the pain of our loss

But embrace our love for one another,

As we continue to carry on

Another day is another hope of victory,

As the light of hope rains upon our souls

Over these words of broken homes

We carry on,

Over the skies of ruby fire and emerald green

As the blue charge of lightning runs through us,

And on this night of winter mourning

Lost within our own minds of emotions,

We feel the sting of lost times

Over these thousands of days,

Through this hail of fire

We carry on,

As we search this labyrinth of enemies

The ways we once knew bricked up and washed away,

Blood stained and broken hearted

We find the will to keep moving on,

Our power grows as more of us slip away

And we keep their memories in our minds,

To fight another day and to conquer this evil voice

The shouting and controlling evil void,

Over these losses and broken bones

We carry on,

Carry on, these brave men and women

Struggle on, we must break through the dawn

And captivate ourselves upon this light,

The freedom of every soul,

The damnation of these evil deeds,

This path we've lit up to the stars

And carry these demons down

Into their rightful place,

Over these last great views of man

We carry on.
