Death carries the song bird of change,
Old life fades,
As a new begins to take form,
Born into a world of constant sacrifice,
Whether it is for good or evil,
Life continues to carry on,
Moving ever backwards from our goal,
Struggling to make the march we seek,
Pain holds the key to demise,
Happiness is to satisfaction,
Yet neither amount to hate and greed,
The driving force for the world of tomorrow,
As we say goodbye to decency,
Holding onto what was left of sanity,
As time takes away all we had,
Yet we must hold onto what is in front of us,
For without this, hope is nothing but a memory.
