A man without grief is a man without a past,
Not knowing his heartaches and shattered soul,
Which would be worst of all?
Not knowing, or choosing to forget?
Either side is doomed to fall,
Never learning from your past experience is a poison,
A cancer if you will, a disease that kills,
No hope but to relive the same mistakes,
Whether you know conscieously or not,
Death rides swiftly on the wings of angels,
The wings of lead, weighing down the spirit,
Never knowing if you seek damnation or just,
Conflicting thoughts immobilze the shell,
Leaving you to wither and decay under self pity,
Exploitaions occur without a thought of remorse,
Causing the corrupted mind of evil,
As all humanity is drained from the host,
Becoming the beast that truely lies within,
Swept away in self indulgence and dilussional sacrifices,
Yet we idely stand by and watch in horror,
Frozen in place as the vicious cycle continues,
Never truely learning from past mistakes,
Repeating the same errors of old,
The eyes of ages look upon the world in shame,
Saying one thing and doing another,
Stabbing your friends' with this poisionous blade,
Draining their essence from them to leave them dark,
Hatred breeding inside of an absence of light.
