Regret Of Lost Love

The faded reflection of her former self,

Casted in the window, as she gazes outward,

Into the world of pain and unknown answers,

To questions no one asked her,

Watching the water run slowly down the window,

As it runs down her face ever so calmly,

Flashes of light tantilize in her vision,

Feeling the sensation of dire loneliness,

Her ears bleeding for the want of words,

Yet she wishes for actions more,

Being alone would be an improvement in her mind,

Cycling through the maze of memories,

So many locked and chained, blackened out,

Forgetting the past, not knowing the future,

Unforseen troubles brew in her thoughts,

Affecting her judgement for reaching for help,

Wanting yet rejecting all forms of love,

Pained so horribly disfigured,

As her lover wheeps, unable to help,

Dying, drowning in his sorrow of flames,

They burn deep inside of his soul,

Passion for this unfading beauty,

Not just a face, but a true being,

One that was real, and used to believe,

The icy hand of Death's grip at her throat,

Freezing the romance where Angels cringe,

Bloodloss of this gorgeous gal,

As he sheds his tears in regret,

Everyone merely stares, wondering what he saw in her,

This dead shell, now rotten and lifeless,

He yearns to be with her,

Taking his life and handing it to Hell's Gates,

He walks to see her, but is never close,

So near yet too far for enjoyment,

This continuous trip drives him to the edge,

Insanity infects them both, 'til they hate each other,

Even then, the pain of loss kills them inside.
