I've seen the face of an angel,
Such beauty and wonder,
But my eyes have been deceived by this haggle,
As she starts to plunder,
False halo held up by horns,
Slicing my wrists to bloody flesh,
Pain so horrible I begin to mourn,
Feeling dizzy as tears and blood begin to mesh.
An odd site of pain and hatred,
Agony and vengeance rushes through me,
This saddest day has almost ended,
Falling in my blood, breathing it deeply into me.
Fluttering on every drop I inhale,
The calls of the dead beckoning,
Body not fit for coffin but in flames,
The dawn of the reckoning.
My pain gone, my sorrow forgotten,
Name erased from the world I call hell,
Relief and peace overcoming, my corpse rotten,
All pain ended the day I fell.
