Claw and Clutch

Sought she to flee

From her insanity

Fought they to stay

Together forever

A fantasy brought on

By lonely terror pity

Not he, said he,

He left before woe fell

And turned unpleasentness

Into hell



A ballet in town he saw replaced a frown

On his placemat sat a card



"Come back, oh you precious speciman of man"



He imagined clutching claws and chains

And nothing had changed but the time
