Garden Guardian Spiders Night Blessing

Silent silken

oh so very still

star-bespeckled

sweet night of vision and radiance

Ocean lapping at toes I've kissed

she

pouty crinkled smiling mouth

she spins songs with

Lilac

crysanthemum

sparkle greenery shine

azeleas

gladiolas

irises

radiant good neighbor spiders

ivy

mums

impatiens

tulips

nice clouds today

Patient sentinal

flexes

tautens the strings that tie infinity

to his heart

in silent quickening wary brilliant night

forever visionfull

sweet audience

Lilac

crysanthemum

twinkle sweetly my stars

azeleas

gladiolas

irises

sleep well sister garden providers

ivy

mums

impatiens

tulips

in darkness we arachnae

Author's Notes/Comments:

I'm not sure I undertand this poem.
I'm very sure I didn't intend for
this poem to be this strange, but
   visions of "Charlotte's Web" were
dancing in place of the sugar plums.

Beautiful invocation . . .

Rachelle Wiegand's picture

Happens to me all of the time....I start out with a thought in mind that I am inspired to write about, and then all this "stuff" starts making it's way to ink....and ending up on my paper. so, anyway- It is a very awsoem poem, however strange you think it to be, I related to it quite well, being a flower friek and all. I think that flowers have an automatic romance to them, and then you adding in things like "radiant good neighbor spiders, and sleep well sister garden providers and it's a hit in my book! I do dig your work, and look forward to reading more.
