A Taste Of Life

Folder:
Death

For those who never tasted love

I once tasted love, and remember

It was as bitter as

This rancid air that I breathe

For those who never tasted hope

I tasted hope, and remember too

That it was as vile as

This poisoned earth that I walk

For those who never tasted faith

I then tasted faith, and I recall

It was as putrid as

These stagnate pools that I wade

For those who never tasted warmth

I have tasted warmth, I remember

That it was as cold as

The freezing life that I lived

For those who never tasted life

I taste death and feel its warm embrace

That holds me closer than

The promise life ever made

For those who never tasted death

Taste it

Swallow it

Love it.

Dark but still a masterpiece. I must read more of your work. This one has captured my curiosity.
