Fragile body afraid to move

Frail chest scared to breathe

Tiny joints timid to bend

For fear of breaking



Burdened soul that flinches at relief

Shattered dreams hiding to stay in pieces

Chapped lips that dare not whisper

For fear of breaking



Eyes too horrified to look

Heart refuses to beat

Skin afraid to feel

For fear of breaking



This pain is too much

Too much to touch

Too much to speak of
