Past midnight,
Memories of love,
Make me miss 'you' all the more.
Past midnight,
When I am alone,
I pine for you and your love.
Past midnight,
I listen to songs,
A karaoke echoes.
Past midnight,
We dined, sang and danced,
Till we could... waltzing in love.
Past midnight,
'You' watched stars with me,
With love in 'your' starry eyes.
Past midnight,
I am worse than dead,
A body craving its soul...
Repetition
gets old after the third time, variety is the spice of verse...past midnight, at noon, or sunrise? The hour is set - she is your soul - the quote marks are distracting - Lady A
DID YOU READ MY POEM WITH DUE ATTENTION AND CONCENTRATION?
If you read the poem -- in case you did not read it the first time with the attention and concentration of a poetic mind instead of a casual reader's --- you will realize why I have used the quotes for my "soul" (the better half of it in fact!). You will also note that dining and dancing are after sunset especially for two loving people very deeply attached to each other. What does past midnight mean? Does it mean lunch time? You amaze me and make me smile with your comments. :) No offence intended.
