Nonchalantly the breeze whispers,
Shaking the brown leaf,
All are destined to wither,
But why give up so soon?
How autumn's rustiness hums a tune,
As I wait -- on the only bench in the park!
How time flies!
Yesterday you were the focus of attention.
Today only memories remind me
That even I fell in love,
When it was spring.
The old couples stroll,
Cajoling the greyness of their lives.
"Time has stood still," you once said.
It does, when one is in love,
Otherwise there is only autumn,
Creeping stealthily into everyone's dreams.
With its orange brown colours
And its shorter days and longer nights
It makes some work less, eat more,
And make love with women roaming around
Offering their bodies to feed hungry mouths
To wealthy and bloated greed-lust gluttons.
If only the clock could revert back
Even if for a while only
Making you return to your lonely
I wouldn't care whether it is Fall or Spring!
