Movies, songs, TV programmes,
Blurred lights and chaotic sound,
An amalgam of mayhem unbound,
While silence and peace prevails outside,
In the walks I take to relive a life,
That has been stolen by time's tide,
I ponder on the nice pieces of advice,
And the reassuring voice on the phone,
The love and care -- all are so nice,
When I stroll and think twice and thrice,
About the goodness still unchanged,
And the sky still neatly arranged,
I am a man of nature and it's my solace,
And a rare gift of the Maker's grace,
I am happiest after my nightly jogging,
Punching the air and defying hard breathing,
And at such moments I thank my Lord God,
For making you mine, O my heart's darling,
You make me think and rethink and be,
The way my Almighty wanted me,
I smile at Cassiopeia and Perseus
And pray for you O my sweet Venus,
With a woman like you as my beloved,
I find a meaning to love and be loved:
You know the art of flying out to me
On the unseen peaks of sublime mystery.
And with your infallible faith in God's mercy,
You heal and energize the man within me.
