THE SEASON OF MANGOES
It is summer here
but it also means
"The season of mangoes".
Ripe, juicy, sweet and tasty
And mixed with crushed ice and honey
Yoghurt, cold almond "Russ Malaai"
No other fruit could be so yummy!
O my beloved, rare woman,
This heart of mine goes out to you
As you too like sweet, juicy mangoes
Especially those in "Russ Malaai":
How I wish that you were here
And added to the sweetness and beauty!
