666: Says the Bible

Is the number of the "Beast".

Eversince sages and prophets

Astrologers and soothsayers

Along with several occultists

Have tried to solve the mystery

Hidden in 666.

The Glorious Qur'an says

That the "Beast" denoted by 666

Is a creature of the earth

That will emerge at a stage in time

When mankind will be refining science.

This creature of the earth

As the Glorious Qur'an says

Will invite mankind to the ways of God

The One True God

And will warn people of the causes and effects

Of their actions, good and bad.

So what is this 666?

It is part of a numerical value

Given to numbers

As it is

In every language spoken by mankind.

It has no other significance

Or so the numerologists assert

With examples they have drawn out

From the annals of history.

While agreeing with them

Even I do say

That 666 is nothing but

The numeric value of some letters

In the most modern language of its time.

In our age this language is English.

And according to Count Louis Hamon*

Who is more popular as Cheiro*

The number six denotes the alphabet W

Hence 666 becines WWW...

And WWW, in my humble view

Reperesents in abbreviated form

Nothing closer than the "World Wide Web"

WWW -- the internet

Also known as the spider's web

Or more commonly just 'web'.

And the web is a product of computers

And computers are made mostly

From nothing butsilicon chips

Silicon chips --- silicon meaning sand.

Should I explain more

Or dilate on the efficacies

Of how the silicon-chip computer

With its "666" -- the WWW (World Wide Web)

Has on the daily lives

Of almost 75 per cent of mankind now?

The computer is the most modern tool

Ever used by mankind to spread knowledge

Latest news and innovatton.]

And also invites us

To the ways and teachings of Lord God

Via thousands of religion propagating net sites.

Thus my dear readers and wise fellow poets

666 is nothing but WWW

And the "Beast" -- the "Creature of the earth"

Is nothing else but the computer.

In this age of science and knowledge

Intellectual and independent thinking

And ideas and hypothesis

Tested by convincing  proofs

By eminent men and women

The Biblical "Beast" is not a monster

Like Frankenstein or Godzilla

Nor a "Damien" character of fiction.

It is only a "creature of the earth"

The "silicon chip" known to us all.

And the World Wide Web is the internet

Abbreviated as WWW.

O my fellow poets, please wake up

And ponder on the deep meanings

Contained in all our scriptures.

Let us not think of monsters

Or superstitious fire dragons

Or even hypothesize

That this beautiful planet of ours

Will meet its fate in 2012.

The Mayans did not know much

Or As much as we do now.

Let us think beyond the word

And gain insight into deep wisdom

Let us all learned men and women

Unite to make mankind more keen

And aware to the faith that abounds

In the Holy Bible

The Vedas and the Glorious Qur'an.

Let us eliminate and break

The deities of man-made fancies.

Let us see how science opens our vision

To a gloriously beautiful heaven of God.
