ON THE BORDER IN KASHMIR

The sun cloaks in gold cream,

The beauty surrounding,

The heart finds no pleasure,

When loved ones are missing.

The sweetness of Nature,

Is nothing without man,

Where loneliness thrives... there,

How you or I can?

When the soul longs for someone,

With whom it can converse,

The wide gulf of parting,

Becomes snapping tension.

In such surroundings,

The brave soldier lives on,

For the sake of his loved ones,

He quietly moves on.

From daybreak to nightfall,

His eyes scan the border,

For the sake of his homeland,

Lives on the brave soldier.
