LET US NOT BE INGRATES

Let us go out among the violet mead,

And let go of ourselves for a while,

Let the joy of beauty spread its wings,

Let the soul respond to Nature's smile.

The blushing buds may raise their heads,

The lilacs too may gather stead...

Why is their sweetness lost to us,

Why have we become so oblivious,

To the pageants fashioned by God's own hands!

They are there for you and me to see,

See all that has been made for us.

Let us not be ingrates, come let's go,

Where daffodils dance and tulips glow.
