My grandfather is a great man, his name is Oscar and he is my mother´s father. I have always liked to be at my grandfather’s house because there are always things to do and look because both my grandfather and grandmother are really interesting persons with really cool stories and objects that have been inside the family generations through decades, one example are all the kind of toys that you can find in there, the variety is amazing, it goes from dolls from the year of 1940 to action figures that are currently used by my cousins, regarding to this I have always thought that my grandparents are accumulators, which means they hardly can let go something they own, even if it is something as old and useless as a creepy doll from seventy years ago. But one of the most interesting things that there are in that house is my grandfather’s clock and watch collection, which Is always growing and it impresses me every single time I visit their house. Even though my grandfather is not a very affluent person, he has managed to own Rolex and Omega watches it that collection, in fact he gave one of his Rolex to my father when he married my mother, but the price of the collection is not what make it incredible for me, but the variety and amount is. My grandfather’s collection has around three and four hundred and watches and clocks combined and each one of them is unique and different from the others. One fact about my grandfather is that he loves football, he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, and he has clocks with player images or shaped like a football, and even helmets with a clock inside. There are even clocks with family pictures in the background and some others with my grandmothers face from the time they married.

Even though his collection is really cool, what I like the most of it is a memory that I have when I was about twelve years old when he told me that having that collection has thought him two valuable lessons in life that he wanted me to know, the first one is that every great thing starts as something small and with the right amount of hard work and consistence it becomes something really incredible, and the second one is about time, he told me that the only certain thing we have in this life is that time will run out and eventually so will we, so we have to make every moment count and keep working towards our goals in every single act we do, because time is the most valuable thing we have and we cannot give ourselves the luxury to waste it.
