I am that Nassau local
I start out at that Metropolitan that looks so southern
Wind up next at a road that's missing a pond but remains fresh
Then to that place that's a few thousand trees short of a Forest
Followed by that little slice of upstate that Queens decided to keep for its own
Seneca
Then right on to that two way where everyone gets off, Wyckoff
Where you can get to Rock Away on that famous Parkway
Or count up to 8 on 14th
Straight on right over that block named after a forgotten sneaker
Or is it New York's basketball team?
Then to a central that is too crocked to live up to its name
To an unknown but lively part of Broadway
Mixed with flavours of Flushing, Lorimer and Hewes
Adding in a pinch of Marcy to the brew
Right before we go through to the other side
The other slice
Don't fail on me now Willie B!
Go back a few letters in the Alphabet for the F for Coney and Jamaica
Back in order to 2 letters before you P's but the Q's remain, so mind them both
Of course the R and W join in too, all beneath the canal that doubles for a street
To chambers to do it all in reverse
That is until rush hour
Until then its back to Metro on the local
The Nassau Local
