Her Last Letter
Written By Elliot Bush
She is stearing at our pictures of the memories
she calls me on the phone and says she missed me
i hesitate as i heard her soft words
turn the volume up and this is what i heard
Let the rain fall down
Let the sun shine behind the clouds
let those tears just drift away
for this is not a sad song
and it's not a heart break
i dropped my phone and sat and cried
could she be the downfall of my life
i hesitate and pick up the phone
i started to sing you are not alone
Does the rain fall down
does the sun shine behind the clouds
for this is not a sad song
and not a heart break
if our love is still there then why did it fade
I heard a voice and it wasn't her
saying baby who are you talking to
i said if your busy i can let you go
she yelled in the phone I love you
I heard the next day that she died
that son of a bitch took her life
and now i wonder and i sit and plead
what would of happen if she stayed with me
I went to her grave and i heard a soft tune
and the words she sang
Let the rain fall down
yes the sun hides behind the clouds
let those tears rain down your face
for my love i am in a happy place
i had to sing right back at her
I let the rain fall down
I seen the sun appear behind the clouds
Yes my dear this is not a sad song
and it's not a heart break
it's my only way to say my peace
Let the rain fall down
let the sun shine behinds the clouds
for this is not a sad song
but who ever reads this please pass it along
