A Beautiful Evening For Two
Without words we walk into the waves
Feel the water become colder and colder
As it reaches up to our chests
I let my underwear float beside us
And you let yours do the same
You're shivering so I hold you close
Kiss your blue lips and your pink cheeks
They match the sunset reflecting on the water
The cold forces me to dive under and find my stuff
I slip everything on and gesture to you to come out
The air is colder than the water by the time we get back to shore
So we squeeze into one sweater and into a tight embrace that warms us
We rock back and forth in rhythm with the waves
We make our own music, I sing the words as you hum along
Mr. Blue, I told you that I love you, please believe me
The sun fades away and just the sweater isn't enough
We laugh as we get dressed, you in my shirt and me in yours
We lay on the rocks and find the bid dipper before getting up
Sand between my toes as I carry my shoes across the beach and then the concrete
Your arm around my shoulder and mine around your waist
We pull each other until we're walking face to face
As I look into your eyes we stop moving
Our faces move closer and closer until we kiss
Open them again and i see the light from the street lights
The say we don't have much time left
But right now you deserve more than just a moment
