Why are the people I knew different from the people I know?
They have the same names but how far will they go
Just to prove that they're different than what they once were
I used to know that I knew them but now I'm unsure
True friendship doesn't last forever
Cuz people only change
But what it is is what it is
It's okay to just buckle in for now
Every day we drift apart
Knowing we have left their hearts
The promises we once had shared
Are now forgotten cuz nobody cares
All the things that I would give
Just to have a real goodbye
But everything is withering away
As we up and give up
Fade away then brighten again
Using up the strength that was holding us at a decent distance
Now we fade faster
As if our hearts are too tired to try again
Do you remember a face aged with time?
See a heart behind wrinkles and lines?
Should we meet again someday
