The air sucks

The air thick and stagnant engulfs everyone and everything in an irritatingly warm embrace that sticks to you like melted icecream that has soaked and embedded between your toes after dripping from your freshly purchased cone in a crowded summer.

It grows heavier with muck for each passing minute it isn't washed out.

It leaves you with a new found appreciation for a cold cleansing shower and the weightlessness it could provide.

It infects you with thoughts you'd never ponder otherwise.

Robbed of your senses you begin to hallucinate how great it would be to dip into a cooling ice bath or dive into the frigid waters of Alaska.

You'd wonder why you've never considered such wonderous ideas before.

In actuality the air has forced you into a withdrawal and left you craving for just a lick of water.
Instead you are only allowed the false feelings of wetness that coats your skin and it taunts you as the warmth saps out whatever liquid you still hold in your system.
What a menace humidity is.
