Peace as Silence

Folder:
FINAL

This morning I arose, awakened by a silence.

A silence so subdued, that it deafened my lobe.

I heard no noise of the voice of Satan.

I heard no pleas from the cries of war.

There was no annihilation, no crime, no gun.

Outside, no wind, nor snow.

My door was unlocked, my window was open.

I felt no affliction, nor sadness nor throe.

This morning I arose, awakened by the dream.

Oh, how I wished it were true....

My door was locked, my window screened.

The only silence was in my room.
