SINGLES AWARENESS DAY

Today is the day when love is in the air



Today is the day when most poeple care



But not me and i have a simple reason why



its singles awareness day and wipe a tear from my eye



its the day of the year i sit all alone in my home and cry



watching those sappy love movies hoping someone will call



but why you ask why sit by yourself with out someone to love



and thats a simple question here is my reply



the one i had i let her slip away no complaints nothing as she went her way



the years have passed one to be exact



theres nothing more dissapointing when this day comes around



just to know i'll be the only single guy is the house



so why not give up on love and shut my mouth?



because you silly questioner you



if your reading this you must be alone too



but its not so bad i say you'll get used to it



the days seem to mold together and the weeks fly past



eventually it will all go numb and you won't even care



it will be another useless day in the begining of the year



so snuggle up tight to the one person you have



unless your lucky i promise it won't last



you may say im the grinch of Valentines Past



and maybe your right maybe your wrong



but the funny thing is i got you to read my poem.
