We're trying not to, but still we're shedding tears

But we know in our hearts you'll always be near

Though we might regret things we never said

At least "I love you" isn't one of them

You inspired us to do our best

There for your family, though we put you to the test

And so, quite frankly, you deserve the rest

It might take time for all the hurt to heal

And our emotions will be so hard to conceal
