I made my bed and I thought of you today

The way you'd hold me close at night and I'd feel safe

The way you'd kiss my head and tuck me in at night

The way you cuddled with me till the morning light

I miss the way you ran your fingers through my hair

I missed you when I made the bed cause you weren't there



I folded laundry and I thought of you today

The way you'd tease me when I'd fold things the wrong way

The way I had to fix the piles you sorted wrong

The way you'd sweetly fall asleep to the dryer's hum

I miss the way you'd laugh each time I lost a sock

I missed you today cause you're the one I lost



I washed the dishes and I thought of you today

The way you'd pop soap bubbles that tried to get away

The way you'd grab a towel and try to dry the plates

The way your face would look each time that one would break

I miss the way you would flick water at my face

I missed you, in the kitchen, there was too much space



I vacuumed my whole house and thought of you today

The way you always had to stand right in my way

The way you'd clutter the room and I would clean it up

The way I'd finish and you'd drop another crumb

I miss the way that playfully you'd make a mess

I missed you when I turned the vacuum off to rest

The way you'd say that spending time with you was better

I miss the way we would hang out with everyone

I missed you as I danced with friends inside the club



I tried to fight it but I thought of you today

I closed my eyes, it drove me totally insane

The way you kissed me gently, held me in your arms

The way you captivated me with all your charm

I miss the way you'd say that we would never part
